Types of Implants

Countless different types of implants have been developed within the last few decades. However, the number of actually usable implants in the dental practice is lower as some versions of implants have managed to prevail and promise long-term success, while others have disappeared from the market. The standard implant resembles a screw and is carefully harvested into the jaw bone by means of a revolving dental tool. However, there are additional special types of implants such as zygoma implants and mini implants.

Zygoma Implants

Zygoma implants are significantly longer than conventional implants. They are typically used in special situations.
